Coronavirus cases are increasing rapidly in the country. The Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday that Maharashtra (Maharashtra), Punjab (Punjab), Karnataka (Karnataka), Chhattisgarh (Chhattisgarh) and Gujarat (Gujarat) are registering an increase in daily cases of Kovid-19. These states account for 77.44 percent of the total new cases of infection. During the last 24 hours, a total of 47,262 new cases of infection have been reported in the country.
These two states increased the concern of the government
The two states have become a matter of serious concern for the Government of Maharashtra and Punjab. According to the Health Ministry, there have been more than 28,000 new cases of corona virus in Maharashtra in the last 24 hours. After this, 2,254 were found infected in Punjab and 2,010 in Karnataka.
The highest number of cases in these 10 districts
Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said on Wednesday that active cases of corona virus are concentrated in 10 districts. Out of the 10 districts where active cases are concentrated, 9 districts are from Maharashtra and one district is from Karnataka. These districts are Pune, Nagpur, Mumbai, Thane, Nashik, Aurangabad, Bengaluru Urban, Nanded, Jalgaon and Akola.
Local restrictions should be imposed on festivals: Center
The central government on Wednesday advised states and union territories to consider local restrictions during upcoming festivals such as Holi, Shab-e-Baaraat and Easter. Limit or restrict the gathering of people on the occasion of these festivals. In a letter, Aarti Ahuja, additional secretary of the Ministry of Health, said that in recent times the number of cases and deaths in many states and union territories has increased concern.
Vaccine given to so many people till now
The ministry said that according to the report till 7 am Wednesday, 50841286 people have been given the Corona vaccine through a total of 8,23,046 sessions in the country. Of these, 79,17,521 health care workers have been given the first dose, 50,20,695 health workers have been given the second dose, 83,62,065 have been given the first dose to the frontline warriors and 30,88,639 have been given the second dose. According to the ministry’s data, the first dose has been given to 47,01,894 people with specific diseases over 45 years of age, while 2,17,50,472 people above 60 years of age have also been given the first dose.
People above 45 years will be able to get vaccinated
Meanwhile, the government has said that vaccines will be given to people above 45 years of age from April 1. This decision was taken because 88 percent of the total deaths of corona virus in the country are of people aged 45 years and above. This age group is vulnerable, in this case, it has been decided on the basis of information received from scientists.
