The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is scheduled for September 8. A few days before that, the user manual for the next smartphone appeared online and contains important information about the smartphone. The Galaxy S21 FE may not be compatible with the microSD card because the user manual does not mention anything about this. However, the user manual confirms some key specifications and the design of the next smartphone. It should have a similar design language to the regular Galaxy S21, but without the metal casing.
SamMobile reports that the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE may not come with microSD support as it is not mentioned in the user manual obtained by the publication. However, the manual confirms some specifications for the upcoming Samsung smartphone. It will feature an IP68 water and dust resistance rating (up to 1.5m and up to 30 minutes), an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and a display with high refresh rate. It will support Dolby Atmos, Wireless DeX, Samsung Pay, wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
Notably, the user manual also mentions that the charger will not be included in the box. Users will need to purchase the charger separately if they don’t already have a USB Type-C charger. The 3.5mm headphone jack also seems to be missing from the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. Users should use a USB Type-C adapter to connect wired headphones or use bluetooth headphones.
The design of the smartphone is also visible on the user manual. The Galaxy S21 FE will feature a similar design to the vanilla Galaxy S21 but will not have the metal casing for the rear camera module. There’s also an ultra-wide-angle lens in its triple rear camera setup. The user manual also indicates the four color options in which the smartphone will be offered: black, green, purple and white.
The user manual does not show all the key specifications of the upcoming Samsung smartphone. However, it is assumed that the Galaxy S21 FE may ship with an Exynos 2100 SoC in some markets and may be powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC in others. Either processor can be paired with up to 8GB of RAM and run Android 11 out of the box.
Other speculation suggests that it might come with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It can measure 155.7×74.5×7.9mm. Another report mentions that it can come with a 4,500mAh battery.
