The Samsung Galaxy M01s is reportedly getting a stable version of One UI 3.1 Core based on Android 11 in a new update. It comes with a lot of Android 11 features and comes with the June 2021 Android security patch. The update is being rolled out in India and is expected to be released in other markets soon. Samsung launched the Galaxy M01s in July 2021 with Android 9 Pie out of the box. It then received an Android 10-based One UI update later in the year.
According to a report from SamMobile, Samsung is updating the Galaxy M01s with One UI 3.1 Core, which is based on Android 11.

The Samsung Galaxy M01s boasts an updated user interface, improved performance, more consistent iconography, smoother animations and transitions, and better security, according to the report. In addition, the budget smartphone would also benefit from Android 11 features like unique permissions, automatic permission reset, chat bubbles, chat section in notifications area, dedicated media player widget, etc.
Besides, Samsung Galaxy M01s update brings lock screen widgets, dynamic lock screen categories and video and picture call backgrounds as well as double tap gesture for lock the screen. Samsung has also reportedly updated all of its stock apps like Samsung Gallery, Samsung Internet, Samsung Keyboard, and Samsung Messages. The camera also received improved autofocus and automatic exposure. The Samsung Galaxy M01s update is supposed to make it easier to access controls for smart home devices.
The firmware version for the update would be M017FXXU2CUG1 and as mentioned it ships with the June 2021 Android security patch. The size of the update is not known at this time.
It is recommended to update your Samsung Galaxy M01s smartphone when it is connected to a strong Wi-Fi network and charging. The live update should reach all eligible devices automatically, but power users can manually check for the update by going to Settings> Software update> Download and install.
