The Samsung Galaxy A52 comes with a slower 15W charger despite supporting 25W charging, which has sparked some controversy. The Samsung Galaxy A52, Galaxy A52 5G, and Galaxy A72 – the three new smartphones in the Galaxy A series – all come with support for 25W fast charging. However, instead of bundling chargers from 25W with all three Galaxy phones, the company ships a 15W charger with the Samsung Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A52 5G. This is not the case with the high-end A-series phone, the Samsung Galaxy A72, as it comes with a 25W charger. The Samsung Galaxy A52, Galaxy A52 5G and Galaxy A72 are all tech compatible. Quick Charge 2.0 and Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging (AFC).
The Samsung newsroom site shows that the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G comes with a 15W charger despite having support for 25W fast charging. Samsung’s Australian site also states that the 4G version of the Galaxy A52 does not come with a 25W charger. The Samsung Galaxy A72, however, comes with a 25W fast charger.
Samsung introduced the Galaxy A52 as a successor to the Galaxy A51 which supported 15W fast charging. The previous model included a 15W fast charger in the retail box, which appears to have been kept for the new Galaxy phone. A52.
While Samsung did not provide specifics on why it did not provide a 25W charger with the Galaxy A52 models, cost seems to be the only reason, as it ships with the more expensive Galaxy A72. . GizmoChina initially reported the disparity between the three Galaxy A-series phones.
Samsung at least has chargers that come with its new Galaxy A series phones, which is different from the Galaxy S21 series which debuted without any built-in charging accessories.
The Samsung Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A52 5G both pack a 4,500mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy A72 has a 5000 mAh battery.
