Oppo’s new R&D ‘O-Tower’ unveiled with ‘Infinity Loop’

Danish architecture studio BIG has designed a new skyscraper for phone maker Oppo. Named O-Tower, it features an infinity loop designed to “connect earth to sky in a continuous loop of collaboration”. According to BIG, the building matches the identity and vision of the Oppo brand.

The O-Tower will be located in Hangzhou, China and will be the future headquarters of the Oppo research and development center. This tower will include an open-air courtyard (which will be open to the public) which will be surrounded by the building, and it will be built in the “Future Sci-Tech City” of Hangzhou. A 10 km2 park will be built next to the O-Tower.

The building’s unique design will allow it to provide different sizes of floor plans and plenty of natural light to enter while also blocking out 52% of solar heat. The office floors will be triple height and share large open spaces with the sloping shape of the building. Amenities listed include cafeterias, conference centers and studios
