To forestall the spread of Covid, the Gujarat government on Monday reached out till February 28 the night check in time in four significant urban areas of the state-Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot.
The term of the night check in time has been additionally abridged by 60 minutes, from 11pm-6 am to 12 am-6 am.
“Night time limitation will be forced in four metro urban areas of Gujarat from 12 PM to 6 am from sixteenth to 28th February,” Pankaj Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of State Home Department said.
The public authority had forced the night time limitation in these four urban areas following a spike in COVID-19 cases after Diwali in November. It had later declared that the night time limit could proceed till January 31, yet diminished the check in time timing by one hour to 10 pm and 6 am.
This advancement goes ahead a day when Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani tried positive for Covid, hours after he swooned in front of an audience during a political race rally in Vadodra, and was traveled to Ahmedabad to be admitted to a medical clinic.
The state on Sunday revealed 247 new Covid positive cases, taking the count of diseases to 2,65,244, the state Health division said.
