The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested five drug traffickers in Mumbai and also seized several drugs from their homes. NCB said in a statement that the agency raided several locations in Mumbai on Saturday and Sunday.
Samir Wankhede of the investigative agency said that 165 grams of mephedrone, 20 fingerprints (0.5 grams) of LSD, 8 grams of MDMA / ecstasy tablets were recovered during the raid. He said that during the investigation it was also revealed that the traffickers also used underage girls for drug trafficking.
Previously, the Narcotics Control Bureau arrested Farooq Batata’s son Shadab Batata in the Mumbai drug supplier case. He had been looking for a long time. NCB Le attacked three places in Mumbai on Thursday evening. Meanwhile, drugs worth Rs 2 crore, a luxury car and a bill counting machine were collected from Shadab. BCN led the raid in Lokhandwala, in the Versova area in Andheri as well as in the Mira Road area, near Mumbai.
Shadab will be produced in NDPS court today. Shadab Batata is known to have been involved in the drug trade for some time. According to the news, Batata was supplying drugs to Bollywood celebrities in Mumbai.
